Things Revealed

"The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our sons forever, that we may observe all the words of this law." -Deuteronomy 29.29

I had a professor who said, "The Bible contains the answers to everything you need to know to get to heaven, it doesn't contain the answers to everything you are curious about." I have changed that statement slightly to "everything you need to know to become like Christ" because that is the goal. God has not revealed everything to us, if He had it would be completely overwhelming, but there are things He has revealed to us, and those allow us to know Him better and be transformed to the image of Christ.

Men, what do we do with the things that God has revealed? Do you pour into them, learning all you can so that you may come to know Him better and become more Christlike? Or do you take them for granted, not bothering to invest in them, failing to realize that these are things we only know because God has allowed it?

God has revealed things to us so that we may know and follow Him better. Let us learn all that we can and pass it on. Let us obey all that God has taught, and teach others to obey them as well. Let us soak up the things God has revealed.
