Honesty and Justice

"You shall not have in your bag differing weights, a large and a small. You shall not have in your house differing measures, a large and a small. You shall have a full and just weight; you shall have a full and just measure, that your days may be prolonged in the land which the Lord your God gives you. For everyone who does these things, everyone who acts unjustly is an abomination to the Lord your God." -Deuteronomy 25.13-16

God calls His people to be honest and just. They were not to have two different weights to use however they would be benefited, or two differing measures for the same purpose. They were to have a single weight that was accurate, and a measure that was correct so that no one was cheated and everyone was treated fairly, receiving justice.

We live in a world where honesty isn't always practiced, and injustice is everywhere. People do what the can to advance themselves at the expense of others.

Men, let us be honest and just. Let us advance ourselves the right way and not at the expense of someone else. Let us value honesty and pursue justice.

God calls injustice an abomination, He loathes it and finds it detestable. A Man of God must be honest and just. Let it be said of us that we live honestly and seek justice always.

"Iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another."

To God alone be the Glory!

Strength and Honor
